EPIPEAK is a nationwide, population-based research project investigating how factors from pregnancy, birth and childhood influence bone health and hormonal status in young adulthood.
The project combines existing data from national health registries with new clinical assessments of 2,000 young adults, including bone mineral density, body composition, hormones and biomarkers.
The project is conducted through a national collaboration between the five Danish regions, the University of Southern Denmark, the Parker Institute and Statens Serum Institut.
